The Story Behind the Piece
“Through the years, nearly all of my sculpture has reflected my own experience. “Good News” is no exception. On many a cold morning I found myself on Arthur Street delivering the morning edition. The work was not hard, as long as you didn't mind getting up an hour early before going to school. The payoff was great. Every Saturday after we collected the money from our customers, we went to the local store and purchased baseball cards… too bad I didn't save a few of those "Rookie" Mickey Mantle's!” – George Lundeen
